Thank You! The Final Winners

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to Layton Kor’s fundraiser, from last fall through now. Without the generous contributions from all the companies who sponsored the fundraiser with gear prizes, this idea would not have gotten off the ground. So many people pitched in to get us through the logistical and technical difficulties of building and sustaining the website, the online payment platforms, and keeping the word spreading through so many months of this effort. Many individuals along the way found their own ways to support Layton and find more avenues to give him a hand. And of course, thanks to the professional climbers who will be donating their time to add to the prizes with climbing days. He really appreciates all the support that everyone has been showing to him.

A huge thanks to everyone who has helped out so far. The money we have raised has helped significantly to defray Layton’s medical costs, though there are more and there are many. We are planning to do more case-by-case guiding days, of all kinds, to continue to generate some financial assistance for Layton in the future. So check back to this site in the weeks and months to come if you would still like to climb with pro climbers or experts, either for adventures or teaching days. Many guides and pro climbers would like to donate future days to people who can donate more money to support Layton Kor. He will still need support, even though this phase of fundraising is complete, so we are going to keep finding creative ways to help.

Donations

To be eligible for the climbing gear giveaways and the guided climbs by America’s best climbers, we are requesting donations for a minimum of $25. For every $25 you donate, the greater your chances will be at winning gear and climbs with the pros. All donated proceeds go directly towards the medical costs for Layton’s kidney dialysis and transplant.

We appreciate your generous help to Layton Kor, and want to give back to you too! Everyone who participates in this effort will be eligible for a thank-you giveaway each month to receive packages of climbing and camping gear donated by friends of Layton Kor. We will then pass out the climbing days as the fundraiser goes on.

If you want to bypass the giveaway and get a climb with a pro climber, then you can make a substantial donation and we will do our best to accommodate you.

The monthly gear gifts will start on November 1, and will continue on the first of each month until we have reached a donation goal for Layton Kor. Even if you are given a gear bundle, you will stay in the hat for the climbing day(s) you have requested. When our donation goal has been reached, we will give away the climbing days. Recipients will coordinate with their partner to set a climbing date.

Basically, for every donation you make in a given month, you get a chance to win a big gear package at the end of that month too!
